Since 1995, uncompromising quality from Rheinhessen: noble spirits that fit into the world of champagne and gin polo
The Strauch distillery in Osthofen, Rheinhessen, has stood for uncompromising quality since 1995: noble spirits from regional grape varieties that rank among the best brandies in the world. With Vinyac, Barrignac, and Cigarrignac, and a new creation, "Feel the Spirit of Wine" fits perfectly into the champagne and gin world of the Ascona Polo Cup.
Polo and pleasure go hand in hand. Where elegance, precision, and a sense for the special moment meet, exceptional spirits also unfold their full effect. This is exactly where the Strauch distillery comes into play with its "Spirit of Wine".
Since 1995: one family, one vision
The history of these very special spirits began in 1995: Heinrich, Heinfried, Doris, and Rudolf Strauch founded the "Kurfürst von Dalberg Strauch Destillerie" next to their winery in Wonnegau, in the heart of Rhenish Hesse. Something independent was to be born from the wines of their own region: not a copy, but a German spirit with an unmistakable character.
The mission: uncompromising quality
"Our motto was to produce the highest quality without compromise; our goal: to create an independent, high-quality German product from regional grape varieties that ranks among the best spirits in the world and corresponds to the new lifestyle," the mission of the Strauch Destillerie
This standard defines every bottle to this day. The maturation, time, and storage of the spirits are incomparable and are perfected with a touch of positive energy in the Strauch pyramid.
Feel the Spirit: the trio in the "Little Black Dress"
Feel the Spirit: a trio in "little black" for unforgettable moments. Only excellent spirits from Strauch can achieve this. Whether at a hotel bar, on a cruise ship, on the sidelines of the Ascona Polo Cup, or at home: the focus is always on the perfect experience. The product line comprises three independent characters:
- Vinyac – the light and fruity entry
- Barrignac – the classic barrel-aged one
- Cigarrignac – the robust companion for special moments
New: "Don't call me port, call me…"
This year, the Strauch distillery surprises with a new creation. The ironic name "Don't call me Port, call me..." is a real statement of intent: as with all other spirits, the rule here is that a great distillate does not need a foreign name. This excellent creation combines the best properties of different grape varieties into a unique taste experience. Ideal for special occasions or for a drink in good company: a new dimension of the "Spirit of Wine" waiting to be discovered.
Perfect for the world of the Ascona Polo Cup
Champagne, gin, and select spirits are as much a part of the lifestyle of a polo weekend as the game itself. With its combination of artisanal precision, maturity, and style, the Strauch distillery fits perfectly into this experience, making special moments on Lake Maggiore even more special.
