🇮🇹 Rivisitazione del 2019 – 10 anni di Poloclub Ascona
Il Poloclub Ascona ha festeggiato il suo decimo anniversario il 25 ottobre 2019 con una finale mozzafiato. La partita tra Engel & Völkers Ascona e la squadra sponsorizzata da Newcomer The Winston/Hotel Maloja Kulm è stata emozionante fin dall'inizio. I sei giocatori provenienti da cinque nazioni hanno disputato una partita equilibrata, che si è conclusa con una vittoria di Engel & Völkers per 11-10. Marcus Schalldach è stato premiato come "Most Valuable Player" del torneo, assicurando così il titolo alla sua squadra.
Nel gioco per il terzo posto, il team Centri Porsche Ticino ha sconfitto CAT Financial Products. Matteo Beffa e il suo team si sono assicurati il terzo posto con un punteggio di 11-10. Le partite nel complesso del polo dell'ex aeroporto di Ascona sono state un vero spettacolo per gli occhi. Il particolare terreno di gioco ha garantito partite veloci e una stabilità sicura per i cavalli. Anche gli eventi collaterali, come la Player's Party sull'Isola di Brissago e la cena "Black & Gold", hanno suscitato entusiasmo.
Il Poloclub Ascona si è sviluppato negli ultimi 10 anni diventando una tappa fondamentale nel circuito europeo del polo. La bellissima regione del Ticino, sulle rive del Lago Maggiore, rende Ascona una destinazione di polo indimenticabile. Gli organizzatori non vedono l'ora della 11ª edizione dell'Ascona Polo Cup l'anno prossimo.
Il torneo è stato diretto dall'arbitro Mark Holmes di Cambridge e il presentatore Jan-Erik Franck, conosciuto come "The Voice of Polo", ha entusiasmato il pubblico. La famosa presentatrice svizzera Sandy Altermatt lo ha supportato come co-presentatrice e ha introdotto il pubblico italiano nel mondo del polo.
Infine, dopo la prima partita della giornata finale, sono stati raccolti quasi 40.000 franchi svizzeri nei giochi di beneficenza, che saranno devoluti al 100% alla Fondazione Elisa di Locarno, che sostiene bambini gravemente malati e le loro famiglie. L'Ascona Polo Cup di quest'anno non è stato solo un momento sportivo di rilievo, ma anche un segno di solidarietà e sostegno ai bambini svantaggiati.

The Ascona Polo Club celebrated its 10th anniversary on 25 October 2019 with a breathtaking final. The match between Engel & Völkers Ascona and team sponsor newcomer The Winston/Hotel Maloja Kulm was exciting from the start. The six players from five nations delivered a close match that ended with a narrow 11-10 victory for Engel & Völkers. Marcus Schalldach was named "Most Valuable" Player of the tournament and thus secured the title for his team.
In the match for third place, Team Centri Porsche Ticino prevailed against CAT Financial Products. Matteo Beffa and his team narrowly secured third place with 11-10.
The games on the Arenapolo grounds of the old airport of Ascona were a real feast for the eyes. The special flooring ensured fast matches and a secure hold for the horses. The side events, such as the Player's Party on the Isola di Bressago and the "Black & Gold" dinner, also generated enthusiasm.
Over the last 10 years, the Ascona Polo Club has developed into a highlight in the European Polo Circuit. The beautiful Ticino on Lake Maggiore makes Ascona an unforgettable polo destination. The organisers are already looking forward to the 11th edition of the Ascona Polo Cup next year.
The tournament was officiated by Cambridge referee Mark Holmes and presenter Jan-Erik Franck, known as "The Voice of Polo", thrilled the audience. The well-known Swiss presenter Sandy Altermatt supported him as a presenter and introduced the Italian audience to the world of polo.
Finally, almost 40,000 Swiss francs were collected at the charity games after the first match of the final day, 100% of which will go to the Elisa Foundation in Locarno, which supports seriously ill children and their families. This year's Ascona Polo Cup was therefore not only a sporting highlight, but also a sign of solidarity and support for disadvantaged children.
